This guide is designed to assist users with the setup of NTP Configuration and Time Synchronization for MASS, Sirius Radars, and AI Appliances. NTP synchronization ensures that all devices in your system maintain accurate, consistent time for proper operation.
Setup 1: Single AI Appliance (MASS runs on AI Appliance)
Devices:
- AI Appliance (Running MASS)
- Sirius Radars
- Customer NTP Server (Optional)
NTP Synchronization Flow:
| Source | Time Sync With
| Optional \ Required
|
|---|
| AI Appliance | Site NTP Server | Optional - Recommended |
| Radars | AI Appliance | Required
|
Setup 2: Multiple AI Appliances (MASS on Windows PC or AI Appliance)
Devices:
- MASS PC (Windows, Meinberg NTP installed)
- Multiple AI Appliances
- Sirius Radars
- Customer NTP Server
NTP Synchronization Flow:
| Source | Time Sync With
| Optional \ Required
|
|---|
MASS Machine (PC or AI Appliance)
| Site NTP Server
| Optional - Recommended
|
| AI Appliance's | MASS Machine (PC or AI Appliance) | Required
|
| Radars | MASS Machine (PC or AI Appliance)
| Required
|
Note: In both setups, syncing with the Site NTP Server is the preferred option.
If synchronization issues appear in MASS, consider setting the time manually on the AI Appliance (or MASS PC) and disabling NTP sync with the Site NTP Server.
